LAUREN

Lauren is the coolest mom I know. She always seems so calm and unflappable. Whatever her kids throw at her, she manages to flip around into something fun. Tooth brushing a problem? She pretends to be scared of clean teeth and they can’t wait to show mommy their fierce clean choppers. When whining gets out of control, she coolly replies “We don’t negotiate with terrorists.” She is as dedicated as a mother can be, but when the kiddies are off to bed she’s ready to relax with a glass of wine and be a grown up for a while.

Children really do learn by example, and it’s obvious with her bright and wildly creative kids. They explore ideas, invent crazy stories and keep the whole family entertained. She encourages it all in a way that makes you see how much she enjoys it. Too often smart, talented and creative women get swallowed up in role of mother. Lauren has managed to stay herself while bringing out the best in her children. If that’s not a cool mom, I don’t know what is.
