SARI 

When I picture Sarah, I smile. I came to know her as a fellow fencing groupie, both of us travelling to watch our husbands compete. I was always so happy to see her at a tournament because I knew I would have a great conversation. Sarah is smart, funny and very pleasant to be around. When she smiles, which is often, she lights up a room. It sounds like a cliche until you’ve met her. 

She’s on the list of people I could happily be stranded with on a desert island. When she’s around, things are relaxed and all seems well. She emanates an air of ease. After her son was born I was not at all surprised at how calm and confident mother she is. And I love to see her smile in miniature on that sweet boy’s face.

Sari is a die-hard baseball fan. She can drink unicum without coercion. She runs an excellent 5K on no training. She’s the best almost-Hungarian I know. And I don’t think she understands how very beautiful she is.
